Eco Warriors
Eco Warriors are run by Mrs Hassan-Clark and Mrs Plummer.
Pupil Voice and Leadership Information
Eco-Warriors are pupils in Year 4 and Year 5 who have an active role in school. They help raise our awareness about littering and encourage everyone to be good at recycling and saving energy. We encourage good habits for the future. They actively promote:-
Recycling:
- Paper and card
- Food
Saving energy:
- Switching off lights
- Switching off ICT equipment, rather than leaving it on standby
- Closing doors to keep heat in
Conserving energy:
- Water saving push top taps and letting adults know when they spot a problem.
- Reminding otheres to take care of our equipment so that it lasts well
- Using resources in a way that minimises waste
Care for the environment
- Encourage walking, scooting or biking rather that using cars to travel to school.
- Using litter pickers to keep our school and local area clean and promote supporting the local environment to other children.
- Designing our raised beds and Forest School tree area to be rich habitats
- As a school, we try to use local suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint. We also encourage staff, children and the local community to recycle batteries, textiles, printer cartridges, clothes, games and more to save them needlessly ending up at landfill sites.

"I think it is really good because it helps the outside area become eco friendly so that all of us children can play in a safe environment."
"I think it is important because it affects animals if they eat plastic and rubbish and that would kill them."
"I think it is good because we are saving our environment and making everything better."
"I think it is really good because we are picknig up litter and getting other people to help too."
"I think it is good because it can help the animals in the water. If we clean up then the animals will live longer but if they eat plastic it might kill them."
