Musical Theatre Club
Miss Hacon has been sharing her love of Musical Theatre with her Musical Theatre Club. Catch up with what they have been doing below:
In Musical Theatre Club over the past couple of weeks the children have been working as a team to create a performance to Hard Knock Life from Annie, involving movement, singing and propwork!
For our final Musical Theatre Club session before the Christmas break, we workshopped ideas for the song 'Hard Knock Life' from Annie. We watched a clip to help us understand the characters, and then came up with some dance moves/acting to match. Each group had some great ideas, and the ones that wanted to be filmed can be seen below. It was super to see some variation, with some groups acting and singing, some dancing, and some doing all three!
| This week Musical Theatre Club focused on our acting skills, when dancing to the song 'Believe', from Finding Neverland. It was a fantastic session, with lots of great acting (as you can see below!). There is also a video of the Broadway cast performing to this song below, which we watched to get some inspiration! | |
This week in Musical Theatre Club, the children have begun learning a Christmas dance, which will be performed in the KS2 carol concert! We will be learning this over the next few weeks, so please practise where you can. Below is the video of what we have done so far, and the music.

Year 1 Pudsy Art
Year 1 have made Pudsy hats for Children in Need during this week's enrichment session.
Year 6 Games
Miss Read has been teaching the children a new card game in Enrichment each week. This week's game is 'Go Fish'
Year 2 art
Year 2 started a new session where we will be looking at the World of Little Miss and Mr Men by Roger Hargreaves. The children are going to be making a piece of artwork over the next few weeks and we started yesterday by painting Mr Tickle
Year 4 art
Year 4 have been making wax and Brusho paintings with an oil pastel overlay in the Adire style.

Dolphins class made animal leaf pictures as their enrichment activity.
Year 6 Harry Potter
Year 6 held a Harry Potter event for parents to link in with their topic in class.

Pebble Art
Mrs Nicholson has been running pebble art sessions with the children which they have really enjoyed.
Digital Photo Manipulation
Miss Read, who enjoys Photography in her spare time, is running activities centered around Photography and digital enhancement.
